BLS Instructor Course
How can You become an AHA Instructor?

This course is not on the calender. This instructor course is self passed and classroom time is arraigned as need. Contact us for more information.

Complete an Instructor Candidate Application. Contact us for the forms, course material, and Course Payment options ($365).


Have a current AHA provider card in the discipline of the Instructor Course, and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline. Disciplines include BLS, Heartsaver and First Aid.


Successfully complete the AHA Core Instructor online course, and print the course completion certificate. Additional Class room training is required, Aprox 6 hours.


Successfully be monitored teaching your first course within six months after completing the Instructor Course. Training Center Coordinators may require additional monitoring.
Once you become an Instructor, you will have access to the most current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources and tools through the online AHA Instructor Network.

The BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course (E-Learn) provides a flexible alternative to classroom training.
Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.

Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor.
Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them to schedule the skills practice and testing session.
An AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.
Heart Saver CPR/AED
The Heartsaver AED Course teaches CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR . Use of barrier devices for all ages.

For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
Heart Saver First Aid and CPR/AED
The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics include First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, Optional First Aid Topics, including CPR and AED.

For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in a child in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics include First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies including CPR and AED. Pediatric required topics for Childcare EMSA are eye injuries, fever, suspected abuse, snake, spider, scorpion, tick removal, stings and bites.

For those involved in child care who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, such as child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for childrens' sports organizations.
